iPad CPIs Climb 16% in October, now above $2

A huge spike in the price game developers are willing to pay for iPad installs continue to increase the gap between iOS and Android on the Chartboost network.  In October, the average iOS CPI was $1.89, up 29% in the last 3 months, compared to $1.05 on Android.

The average CPI bid for iPad was $2.05 in October, a 28% increase since a low of $1.60 in July.  Strength was seen across the board, with popular test markets Australia and Canada both having average CPIs above $3 while the average CPI in the US increased to $2.62.  To see the exact values by country, click on the heatmap below or visit the iPad tab on our Insights page.



Android CPIs ticked higher to $1.05 in October.  In contrast to iOS, average prices have remained relatively flat in the last several months.  The top 3 markets by CPI paid are Canada ($1.75), Australia ($1.66) and the US ($1.49) with Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom also above a dollar.  See the Android heatmap for more country level details.
