We just got back from Game Connection Europe that took place in Paris from November 28th to November 30th. Game Connection is a unique speed dating event for business-focused game professionals in all stages of the production process: from the concept to the outsourcing, publishing, distribution and financing.

In this edition we got the chance to catch up with a lot of European existing partners and great companies that will start using very soon!
We also hosted a session together with Pixowl about new distribution channels for mobile game. We had the chance to share some insights and trends from our platform and Sebastien, co-founder of Pixowl, went into the details of effectively launch a game app. The main take aways were:
- Plan your distribution strategy and always iterate and optimize.
- Bids are all over the place, from over $2 average CPI in the premium countries to a little bit more than $0.50 in secondary countries. There’s a huge opportunity to get significant and valuable traffic in secondary markets where large advertisers are not present.
- Effectively establishing Direct Deals with other game developers is a great way of breaking the rules of the ad networks and acquiring users from targeted sources.
- Be creative, distribution is not only buying from ad networks: leverage your internal cross-promotion, the power of social media and think of out of the box marketing initiatives.
